After much creative excuse shopping I bought - you guessed it - I was sick. I WAS sick, sick to my stomach with worry that I would somehow die in front of the group.
I beat myself up after that lie. I made myself a promise to again move forward. I would improve my skills and try again. Resolute with bold determination, I attended my first Toastmasters meeting. Did I say first? I meant first and last."
